This is their third winter at Merritt Island, Florida where they prefer watching the snow and freezing rain on TV.

He has attended two Police Academies and had two years at the University of Tennessee. Eddie's interests are singing, reading all about sports, collecting films, compact discs, guns, guitars, and autographed pictures of famous people in all fields. They also have two grandchildren, Nicole Jean and Caroline Simon LaRochelle. Tom is the Trade Association's Executive Director employed by Printing Industries of America, Inc. for eight years. He has been a member of the SWOP Industry Review Committee for 20 years and in 1988 he was elected to serve as a director on the SWOP Board of Directors and from 1991-1994 he served as Chairman. SWOP is an organization that develops standards for the producing of advertising in the magazine/publications industry. Tom attended the Universities of Dayton and Toledo, and has taken advanced courses in sales and marketing, business planning, personnel management and labor relations. Tom and his family sailed the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean for 17 years; he has rafted (eight days) the full "Grand Canyon"; and he rides bicycles (his biggest trip was 500 miles across Georgia in seven days).

He believes Hagerstown is a great place to raise a family and yet not too far from Baltimore and Washington. Bob has a summer home in the mountains in Frederick County for a get-away.

Patty's main interest is getting to know her "new home" since she spends such a limited time in each city/country. She loves to walk, read the local newspapers to learn of the days cultural events and incorporates these events into her walks. She loves lectures and action movie films, not videos. He has a B.S. in electrical engineering (1960) and an M.S. in electrical engineering (1962) from Worchester Polytechnical Institute, Worchester, Massachusetts. He also has an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Santa Clara, Santa Clara, California. Fred worked with various segments of TRW, Inc. in California from 1962 until retirement in 1994, first as a control system engineer and then as a software system engineer and manager. Since retirement from TRW he's been teaching computer programming and its application to engineering problems. He lived on the southern California coast from 1963 until 1981 (1969-1981 on a 35 ft. sailboat). He sailed more than 10,000 miles to Hawaii, Tahiti, Mexico, etc., as a navigator on ocean racing sailboats. He moved ashore to Cupertino (50 miles south of San Francisco) and married Evelyn in 1981. They both enjoy hiking, classical music (and the San Francisco Symphony), astronomy, canoeing, sailing, gardening, and traveling.
